Thai Holiday

This is the view from the Jain's window in Bangkok, on the first day of our trip. We had arrived at Suvarnabumi the previous night after roughly 20 hours of flying, and taken a long (but still cheap, probably in the cab for an hour for less than US $10) cab ride through the Bangkok night. As is often the case there were dramatic thunderstorms in the distance (as was also the case this morning). The Jains were ideal hosts, feeding us often and providing substantial logistical support.

Our clocks were severely tweaked from the time change and we woke up very eaarly for pretty much the entire trip. So this morning I started playing with the SLR I had borrowed from Tim for the trip. There were several odd fauna about, including a monitor lizard that swam by and a strange looking squirrel. Later Allison asked Mrs. Jain what was the thing we saw that looked like a squirrel and she sais "That was a squirrel".
