So last week I speant a couple days in Kentucky and a couple in St. Louis.
Kentucky has a lot of horses. Really. They also have lot of of people who smoke cigarettes (at 28% of the population they are the smokinest state in the US). This makes it ironic, or at least interesting, that they are the 1st state to charge state employees who smoke a monthly surcharge for their health insurance.
I had been to St. Louis once before, but this was a quick and work filled trip so I can't say I got much of a feel for the town. But the story of Aaron Woodson, a young boy killed by a truck passing his schoolbus was sad.
